The Calm & Confident Counsel Program

The Calm & Confident Counsel Program

SINCE I STARTED LAW SCHOOL 8 YEARS AGO, I'VE WORKED IN A VARIETY OF LEGAL SETTINGS - FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR AT A LAW FIRM, TO GOVERNMENT, TO NON-PROFITS, TO POLICY, TO POLITICS, TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

because i know what it's like with and without wellness that's applicable to legal life.

Along the way, I took what I learned about health and wellness - from 15 years as a high school and collegiate athlete, to my 500-HR YTT certification, to my love of all things astrology, human design, nervous system, etc. - and made that knowledge applicable to lawyers and legal professionals in various legal professional environments, staying particularly cognizant of the nuances of a post-2020 work world.

Why would I do this?

I've felt frustrated, annoyed, and even ashamed that I haven't been able to get myself to do a morning routine or that I never had time to take care of me - especially as an attorney where we're service professionals working to provide care and support for others. I get it because I've lived it.

So this was made for you in mind. I hope you experience the same feeling I did after I dove deep into learning various physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual practices and techniques, applying them in manageable ways to my everyday life, and ultimately creating a strong and beautiful friendship with myself.

I’m just going to say it - our society’s approach to wellness is outdated. When we’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or unhappy, we’ve been taught to turn to someone or something else to help us feel better. A cup of hot chocolate, a friend you can talk to, a movie you can watch on the couch, or even a yoga class or two. While I fully support reaching out for help when needed (thank you therapists and life coaches!), rarely, if ever, have we been taught that we can turn to someone else who can fix the problem–ourselves. I’m here to show you how you can create a life you love from the inside out, where you can take care of yourself whenever and wherever you need to, no matter what amount of time you have. Because the key to long-term wellness is creating a better relationship with yourself. And only you have the power to do that, friend.

The Calm & Confident Counsel Program

FAQs

Who is this program for?

What does working together look like in the program?

What will i be doing for 6 weeks? Can I see a Syllabus?

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE PROGRAM?

Since we're working 1:1, the program can start at any time. It will run for 12 weeks on Zoom, with weekly 1 HR sessions scheduled at mutually-convenient times.

What is the time commitment for the program?

While you can invest as much time as you want, on average:
  • Most weeks require only 30-60 minutes of watch time to complete the lessons.
  • You'll spend 1-HR per week in our class discussing the lessons, asking questions, and working on your own yoga & wellness routines.

I’m not sure IF I will be able to keep up a routine after the program is over (even though I really want to do it). accountability is really important for me.

  • That's the beauty of this program - it gives you the tools and practices to create as many yoga and wellness routines as you want so that you can always keep up with your routine! As a lawyer, law student, or recent law grad, you likely won't have the same amount of time to devote to your wellness each day. The goal is to be flexible in your routine and in your journey to getting to know yourself better - and this requires sufficient knowledge and skills to customize your practice to what you need on any given day. The program also teaches you to be accountable to yourself by learning how to treat yourself like your own best friend so that you always have an accountability buddy beside you. :)

I’m interested, but I’m not sure I can afford the program.

I understand that investing in yourself and your wellness can be expensive. I have three responses for this program specifically:

  • Unlike other situations that require you to keep paying for your wellness, this program is designed to help you become self-sufficient in your yoga and wellness practices so that you don't have to go to a yoga or meditation class if you don't want it. That means you can take better care of yourself in the long-term and save money doing it.
  • This program is also designed to help you take care of yourself in ways that most people don't know how to do. This means you'll be better able to support yourself if and when you experience heightened emotions or a stressful event, and maybe you can't talk with a therapist or a life coach in that moment.  While I'm a big advocate for therapy and life coaching with trusted mentors and professionals, it's also equally important to be able to be self-sufficient in your self-care. As someone who's learned this the hard way, believe me - your future self will thank you.

I’m interested, but I’m not sure this experience is the right fit for me.

Let’s get to know each other better, then! Feel free to schedule a free 30-minute consultation here. Or, if you want to get a better sense of what it would be like to work together, you can book a 60-minute Wellness Work Session with me here.

I'm interested, but I'm not sure this is the right time for me.

Totally understand! The beauty of this program is that it can be done 1:1 anytime. Let's chat on free consult call here so we can find the timing that works best for you.

Why should I join this program?

I’m just going to say it - our society’s approach to wellness is outdated. When we’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or unhappy, we’ve been taught to turn to someone or something else to help us self-soothe (aka coffee/chocolate, a binge-able movie, a friend you can talk to, and yes, even a yoga class). While I fully support reaching out for help when needed (thank you therapists and life coaches!), rarely, if ever, have we been taught that we can turn to someone else who can fix the problem–ourselves. And sometimes, life throws situations our way where, even if only for a time, we are the only ones we can turn to.

I’m here to show you how you can create a life you love from the inside out, where you can take care of yourself whenever and wherever you need to, no matter what amount of time you have. Because the key to long-term wellness is creating a better relationship with yourself. And only you have the power to do that, friend.
